New Walkman phones: Sony Ericsson W850 and W710

Sony Ericsson W710Sony Ericsson w850Announced on May 18, 2006, couple of new W850 and W710 extend the Walkman® Line of Sony Ericsson mobile phones. Most interesting , from developers point of view , will be support Sony Ericsson’s Java Platform 7 ( new version of JP-6 with the addition of AMS(JSR 234) Advanced Multimedia Supplements for enhanced camera and image handling.

The W850 is the first slider Walkman phone and is a UMTS and tri-band GPRS . The W710 is a quad-band EDGE/GPRS clamshell with applications and accessories targeting an active and sporty lifestyle.

After successful start of the first phone featuring “Plug & Play Files-to-go” (SGH-i300 ) at March 11th, 2005, Samsung Electronics announced first 8 GB HDD embedded music phone. New Samsung SGH-i310 model is successor of the SGH-i300.
Plug & Play Files-to-go” technology allows the handset to be used as a removable hard disk drive, that means an opportunity to store and transfer files in any format .

This question I has wondered after presentation of new Samsung SPH-V8200 camera phone.

Samsung have surprised us earlier with the 5-megapixel camera phone (Samsung SCH-S250) and the 7-megapixel camera phone (Samsung SCH-V770) . These phones some months are on sale in the Korean market.

But phone, which was demonstrated by Samsung president Lee Ki-tae, forces to think about the future of mobile phones.

Nokia Series 60 ,built on Symbian OS, is the most widespread platform used in mobile devices. The first smartphone based on Series60 has been created in 2002 - it was Nokia 7650. Since then the platform was improved, updated and even, not so long ago, Nokia rebranded its Series 60 trade mark as simply S60.

To understand a difference between versions of the Symbian OS and versions of Nokia S60 platform, it is necessary to describe their interrelation:
